Urgent Veterinary Support During Clinic Hours
Emergency care is available during clinic opening hours, subject to veterinary team and facility availability. Please call before travelling whenever it is safe to do so, so the team can prepare for your arrival and tell you what to do on the way.

When a pet arrives unwell or injured, the first priority is assessment and stabilisation. We will tell you what we are doing and why, give you an honest picture of your pet's condition, and set out the options before treatment continues.
Call the clinic straight away if your pet shows any of the following:

Urgent cases are assessed on arrival rather than in booking order. Where several patients need attention at once, they are prioritised by clinical need, which can mean a short wait for a stable patient.
It depends entirely on what your pet needs. We will give you an estimate before treatment proceeds wherever the situation allows, and we will tell you if the picture changes. Where immediate action is required to relieve suffering, we act first and discuss the details as soon as possible.
During the initial assessment it is usually better for your pet if the team can work without distraction, and we will keep you informed throughout. We will tell you when you can be with them.
We will say so directly. Your pet will be stabilised as far as we safely can, and we will coordinate referral to a facility equipped for continuous or intensive care, passing on everything we have done.
Call the clinic immediately and bring the packaging or a photograph of the substance with you. Do not try to make your pet vomit unless a veterinarian has instructed you to, as this can cause further harm with some substances.
Yes. Internal injuries after a fall or road accident are not always visible, and some become apparent only hours later. A check-up is worth the trip.
